Dr. Helen Chiao is the founder of Liberty Endodontics and a practicing board certified endodontist in the heart of Westchester County- Hartsdale, NY (between Scarsdale and White Plains, north of Yonkers). Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Chiao brings with her extensive experience from her tenure as an endodontist and dentist in clinical, academic and private practice settings, treating both children and adults.  Prior to opening Liberty Endodontics in Westchester, New York, Dr. Chiao founded Washington Endodontics in Bellevue, WA, and has worked in the Greater Seattle Area, Long Island-NY, Midtown-Manhattan, Greenwich, CT, and Cambridge and Boston, MA.  Dr. Chiao received her Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from the University of Washington.  While there, Dr. Chiao gained early clinical and research exposure in endodontic pulp biology and dental nerve trauma.  Dr. Chiao then moved to Boston, MA to study the broad field of clinical dental medicine at Harvard Medical School (preclinical training) and the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree. 

Dr. Helen Chiao received admittance into Harvard's Advanced Graduate Program in Endodontics, obtaining an additional 3 years of clinical training in full-scope microsurgical endodontics.  Dr. Chiao graduated with a Master of Medical Science (M.M.Sc.) in Oral Biology and Certificate in Endodontics through Harvard University. Dr. Chiao is a board certified Diplomate through the American Board of Endodontics.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Helen Chiao enjoys classical piano, appreciating jazz music, reading, traveling, playing tennis and spending time with her family, who have resided in Westchester for nearly half a century.
