Mark A. O’Banion, D.M.D.

Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics

Dublin OH Endodontist Dr. Mark O'Banion graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in 1998 where he was valedictorian. He received several awards including Student Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity Award for graduating with highest class rank, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Award 4 consecutive years, Periodontal Surgery Award, ICOI Pre-Doctoral Implant achievement award, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Award, Paul W. Clopper Memorial Foundation, and Illinois Hospital Scholarship awards.

Dr O’Banion received a General Practice Residency Certificate from the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio in 1999. He then received his Endodontic Certificate from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2001.

He has been a member of the American Association of Endodontics, Illinois Endodontic Association, Ohio Endodontic Association, Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club, Seattle Study Club, Sfumato Study Club, and has been a tutor for clinical and didactic dental courses.

Dr. O’Banion feels it is important to attend more than the required continuing education courses annually, to continually learn, and to be the best endodontist that he can be. He strives to learn the newest techniques and aims for excellence and perfection. Thus, it is important that he maintains his board certification in the field of endodontics.

He enjoys spending time with his three children, exploring new restaurants, and cheering on the Buckeyes football team.  Dr. O’Banion also enjoys bicycle racing, cycling, running, skiing, kickboxing, drawing, painting, travelling, and playing chess.
