So fortunate to have been able to get an emergency root canal procedure done by Dr. Fu.
After a sleepless night in excruciating pain for hours, Dr. Fu did an amazing job of relieving that pain within an hours time. Not only was he fast and professional, the work that he did was PAINLESS!!!!!! That was the best part! If anyone out there ever needs a root canal done, please take note of all the other great reviews about his procedures. HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. FU.

I've never had a root canal, and had often heard various 'horror stories' regarding the pain and discomfort associated with them. I was referred to see Dr. Ha Bin Park, at Honolulu Endodontics, by my new general dentist Dr. Nelson Hatanaka (separate review). From my initial contact with his office, up to and including the day of my actual appointment, I was surprised at the caring and consideration shown by his staff. All of them were friendly, caring and considerate. They attended to my comfort, even offering me something to keep me warm, when I appeared a bit chilled. Dr. Park was very pleasant and explained what he recommended. During the procedure, he demonstrated deft skills and a gentle touch. At the end of the procedure, he showed me the final x-ray of the root canal, which looked perfect (granted, I'm not a radiologist, but I am a physician who reads x-rays). He made sure I never experienced any pain or discomfort, and addressed all of my questions and concerns. I'm writing this review one day after the root canal, and am experiencing absolutely no discomfort or pain. Frankly, it's hard to believe I even underwent the root canal! I can, without reservation, fully recommend Dr. Park, his staff, and Honolulu Endodontics.

I am in Honolulu for vacation, and develop the worst tooth pain in my life. I figure I need a root canal. I called multiple offices in the area and no one had availability. Honolulu Endo took me same day. I saw Dr. Ishikawa. Great bed side manor, and virtually pain free root canal. If you can say getting a root canal was a great experience, this was it. Blake Ishikawa is amazing. He is a true professional showing care, concern and patience in dealing with my molar that had to have a crown removed. My tooth was tricky since it had substantial decay under the crown and my root canals were really narrow. From the virtually painless shots he administered to his explanations during the root canal procedure, he was wonderful in ensuring I was comfortable and pain free.

I went to his office after seeing another endodontist that I was not entirely comfortable with. I took and paid for a full array of x-rays there but they would not send all of these x-rays over to Dr. Ishikawa 's office. That meant I would have to pay for another set of of x-rays so I was not happy. Dr. Ishikawa's office understood my dismay, and in order to facilitate the procedure, offered to take another set of x-rays and not charge me for them. That was beyond considerate in my eyes.

Anyway, I highly recommend Dr. Ishikawa and this office with its friendly staff for a virtually painless procedure that I had worried about for many days. He has a great chairside manner, was reassuring, and totally allayed all my worries. This is the place to go if you are looking for professional and pain-free.

Post procedure: spent a very easy night, no pain, no inflammation or facial swelling, I am pretty amazed!
