Our Technology

Gentlewave Procedure

Gentlewave

The GentleWave® Procedure is a state-of-the-art alternative to standard root canal treatment. The ultracleaning technology of theGentleWave® Procedure is an advanced combination of fluid dynamics and a broad range of soundwaves that work together to reach into the microscopic spaces and remove bacteria, debris and tissue. TheGentleWave® Procedure is so effective at cleaning and disinfecting the root canal system, there’s less chance of failure over time. The incredible effectiveness of this system also allows us to conserve more tooth structure than ever before.

We are very proud to be able to offer this level of care to our patients. Dr. Noguera is fully certified in the use of the GentleWave System and will gladly answer any questions you may have about this exciting new technology. We are always evaluating technological advancements and incorporating them into our practice when we believe that doing so will help us provide a higher level of care than previously possible and help us save more teeth for more of our patients.

Microscope

Surgical Microscope

We perform all endodontic procedures using a dental operating microscope.  It enhances our ability to accurately visualize complex anatomy cases, for locating root fractures or defects, for root-end surgery, for removal of separated instruments, and for locating canals.  The surgical microscope, facilitates visualizing areas difficult to reach, treat or repair, and thus, enables us to save teeth that otherwise would have been lost just a few years ago.

TDO Software

We use TDO Software as it is considered the best endodontic software available. It is used to manage all patient records and information and has comprehensive modules that make our office paperless, a great convenience for our patients and referring dentists.  The website integration allows our patients to securely access the site to complete the medical history and consent forms online before their appointment. The software allows our referring dentists to make referral and receive their patients’ reports and imaging through secured HIPAA compliant portal right after the patient is seen.  This technology enables us to diagnose and treat our patients more efficiently and to communicate more effectively with both the patient and referring doctor that is secured and HIPAA compliant.

CBCT - 3D Imaging

We are very proud to be one of few offices utilizing 3-D imaging, also known as Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). This technology allows us to visualize the teeth and supporting structures in 3 dimensions.   It dramatically improves our ability to diagnose and treat lesions that were impossible to detect just a few years ago.  Our office uses a Kodak 9000 CBCT machine, which has the highest resolution available on the market today, yet dramatically limits radiation exposure.

NOMAD

NOMAD – Portable low dose radiation x-ray

We use the Nomad Portable X-ray which allows for flexibility, comfort, convenience and reduced radiation. The use of the Nomad results in less time that the sensor has to rest in the patient’s mouth, more accurate positioning and reduced radiation.

The Wand – Painless Anesthesia

We provide anesthesia with a revolutionary system called The WAND™ . The source of discomfort for most injections isn’t the needle, it’s the flow of the anesthetic. The WAND™ delivers anesthesia in a slow constant flow that is virtually painless.  The onset of anesthesia is often faster, and most patients are pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it feels.

Digital Radiography – CDR

Dental x-rays can now be taken using an advanced dental imaging system known as CDR (computed dental radiography).  This sensor produces an image directly onto a chairside computer monitor. This larger image helps the patient understand the doctor’s explanations and enables the doctor to optimize and archive the image to be sent to your dentist.  An important advantage to this new technology is that it dramatically reduces the amount of radiation and the chairside time, as it only takes seconds to visualize an image.  In addition, this new technology is friendly to the environment since no chemicals are needed for developing the image.
