Surgical Operating Microscopes
The introduction of the surgical microscope has revolutionized the field of endodontic microsurgery. Dr. Cutbirth’s group was the first to bring the surgical operating microscope (SOM) to Corpus Christi - defining the dedication and commitment to cutting edge technology for our patients' benefit. We have invested in Global surgical microscopes for each of our treatment rooms. These outstanding tools provide unparalleled magnification and illumination for our clinical procedures.

Digital Radiography
Digital radiographs are safer, faster, and diagnostically more useful in endodontics than conventional film x-rays. There is up to 80% reduction in radiation, compared to traditional film technology. Patient comfort is greatly increased by utilizing these sleek and small, rounded, and beveled sensors. We do not use the hard bulky sensors which are always a battle in the mouth. The resulting images are digital, allowing computer enhancement, enlargement, and evaluation, which greatly improve diagnostic and communication capabilities.
3D Imaging
Corpus Christi Endodontics uses the Carestream 8100 3D Cone Beam Computed Technology (CBCT) scanner. When we use the 8100 3D cone beam CT for a scan volume, we achieve outstanding visualization to give you improved diagnosis, treatment planning, and prognosis.
Findings from using this technology has literally saved our patients chair time, needless expenses from unnecessary treatment, and has been life saving. This tool is absolutely necessary for the highest level of endodontic care and treatment.
With this technology, we can visualize any tooth from multiple angles with extreme accuracy. The CS 8100 3D features one of the highest 3D HR image resolutions available, down to 75 micron resolution for extremely fine detail.
Additionally, we use a Focused Field Cone Beam CT (CBCT) scan which is limited to a single arch or 2.5cm. This reduces overall exposure. Scans are only taken when necessary, and they provide a multitude of benefits, including superior quality and maximum patient safety.
ADVANCED ENDODONTICS SYSTEMS
Through ASI carts, endodontists can maximize their office space, creating the perfect dental office design. Its advantages go beyond simplification and wide-open spaces. This tool allows us to be more robust in our treatment operatories - not having to rely on a single compressor or dental units to provide care. In order to achieve the desired result, execution must be perfect. Additionally, ASI carts can enhance a patient's treatment experience.
Onpharma Onset Buffering System
If you give injections without first buffering the anesthetic cartridge, the patients' body must raise the pH of the local anesthetic toward physiologic (~7.4) before they will achieve pulpal analgesia. This means that without buffering, standard dental cartridges will take precious time until your body raises the pH of the anesthetic towards physiologic.
Buffering the anesthetic solution allows for more rapid penetration of the lipid membrane of Inferior Alveolar Nerve and associated pain fibers resulting in more rapid and profound local anesthesia. This is significant in mandibular teeth where it may be difficult to achieve total pulpal anesthesia when there is a “hot” tooth. Eliminating the pain rapidly and effectively is what we have dedicated our practice to. Caring for you when you are in need. TDO Software
We use TDO Software as it is considered the best endodontic software available. It is used to manage all patient records and information and has comprehensive modules that make our office paperless, a great convenience for our patients and referring dentists. The website integration allows our patients to securely access the site to complete the medical history and consent forms online before their appointment. The software allows our referring dentists to make referral and receive their patients’ reports and imaging through secured HIPAA compliant portal right after the patient is seen. This technology enables us to diagnose and treat our patients more efficiently and to communicate more effectively with both the patient and referring doctor that is secured and HIPAA compliant.
